What to Expect
Your Muktinath yatra is a blend of spiritual fulfillment and Himalayan adventure. Here's what each moment feels like.

The Mountain Flight
Your 25-minute flight from Pokhara to Jomsom takes you through the Kali Gandaki gorge, the deepest gorge on Earth between Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m).

The Jeep Ride
From Jomsom, a sturdy 4x4 jeep takes you along the rocky Kali Gandaki riverbed. The landscape shifts from green valleys to arid, almost Tibetan terrain.

The Sacred Bath
The 108 stone water spouts (muktidhara) pour ice-cold holy water. Most pilgrims pass under all 108. It takes about 20 minutes.

The Eternal Flame
Inside Jwala Mai, natural gas seeps through rock and water, creating flames that burn perpetually alongside flowing water.

Weather & Altitude
At 3,710m, temperatures range from -5°C to 15°C depending on season. Most pilgrims don't experience altitude sickness on this short visit.

Food & Comfort
All meals are pure vegetarian. Dal bhat, rotis, seasonal vegetables, and chai. Hotels are clean and warm with hot water.
