Muktinath Tour by Flight
Fly over the deepest gorge on Earth, land in the wind-swept Jomsom valley, and drive through the ancient Kali Gandaki riverbed to reach the sacred Muktinath Temple at 3,710 meters. All in a single morning.
The Muktinath Tour by Flight is our most popular package for Indian pilgrims who want to complete their yatra comfortably without multi-day treks. You'll depart Pokhara on a scenic 25-minute flight to Jomsom, then take a 1-hour jeep ride to Muktinath, one of the 108 Divya Desams sacred to Lord Vishnu and equally revered by Buddhists as a site of liberation (mukti).
At the temple, you'll witness the miraculous eternal flames burning alongside natural water springs. The sacred Jwala Mai. You'll bathe under the 108 holy water spouts (dhara) believed to wash away all sins, and visit the Vishnu temple housing the iconic Muktinath idol. Our Hindi-speaking guide ensures every spiritual significance is explained in detail.
Unlike the road journey via Beni (10–12 hours each way on rough mountain roads), the flight option saves you 2 full days of travel. This makes it ideal for elderly pilgrims, families with children, and anyone with limited vacation time.

What to Expect
Your Muktinath yatra is a blend of spiritual fulfillment and Himalayan adventure. Here's what each moment feels like.

The Mountain Flight
Your 25-minute flight from Pokhara to Jomsom takes you through the Kali Gandaki gorge, the deepest gorge on Earth between Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m). Window seats on both sides offer breathtaking views.

The Jeep Ride
From Jomsom, a sturdy 4x4 jeep takes you along the rocky Kali Gandaki riverbed. The landscape shifts from green valleys to arid, almost Tibetan terrain. It's bumpy but unforgettable.

The Sacred Bath
The 108 stone water spouts (muktidhara) pour ice-cold holy water. Most pilgrims pass under all 108. It takes about 20 minutes. The water is cold but the spiritual energy is powerful.

The Eternal Flame
Inside Jwala Mai, natural gas seeps through rock and water, creating flames that burn perpetually alongside flowing water. It's one of the rarest natural phenomena on Earth. Deeply sacred.

Weather & Altitude
At 3,710m, temperatures range from -5°C to 15°C depending on season. Most pilgrims don't experience altitude sickness on this short visit, but we carry an emergency oxygen kit just in case.

Food & Comfort
All meals are pure vegetarian. Dal bhat, rotis, seasonal vegetables, and chai. Hotels are clean and warm with hot water. Don't expect luxury at 3,710m, but expect genuine Nepali hospitality.

“Excellent arrangement from start to finish. The flight to Jomsom was breathtaking, and the guide Bishal explained everything about the temple in Hindi. My 72-year-old mother completed the darshan comfortably. Highly recommend for families.”
“We were a group of 6 friends from Gujarat. The vegetarian food was excellent, felt like home cooking. The moment we saw the Jwala Mai flames, everyone got emotional. A life-changing experience. Thank you Muktinath Tour Nepal!”
“Very well organized tour. Only reason for 4 stars is the flight got delayed by 2 hours due to weather, but that's not in anyone's control. The team handled it professionally and kept us informed. Would do it again.”
